Consumer Electronics showCTA video contest 2017 : innovative solutions for seniors and disabled people

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is an annual consumer technologies trade show owned and organised by the CTA (Consumer Technology Association) ; this year’s edition will take place from January 5th to January 8th, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Start-ups now have the opportunity to win a free booth for the 2017 edition of the event, as well as a $2,500 prize, by taking part in CTA’s yearly video contest, “Technology that improves lives“.

For the 2017 contest, CTA will team up with the Extreme Tech Challenge :  both contests will focus on products aiming to help people aged 60+ or disabled people. Competing start-ups will be entered for both the Extreme Tech Challenge 2017 and the CTA’s Foundation contest ; applicants must register before September 30, 2016. The proceedings are fairly straightforward : applicants must present one project in a short video.

Partnership with the Extreme Tech Challenge means winners will also have the opportunity to pitch judge Richard Brandon on Necker Island.

“The CTA Foundation Video Contest helped us, a very young and underfunded startup, get on stage at CES and led us into international headlines,” said Alberto Rizzoliof Aipoly, who featured among the 2016 winners. “We had a documentary filmed about us during the experience and our technology is now helping tens of thousands of people around the world. CES marked our official launch, and as a result of our success there and what came after it, we were greeted by the President of Italy last week while in Rome.”
