This new generation of elderly people, the Silver Surfers, firstly started using the Internet to communicate and stay in touch with their friends and families. The 2.0 web gradually became an open door to any other type of services. Whether they are accessing their bank account, shopping, Skyping or talking on any other social media, the Boomers tend to use Internet more and more often.
