A Helpage animation about ageing

The characters in this Helpage animation experienced complex and varied life course with events, choices and policies, systems and forms of discrimination that impacted them at the time, but also long into their future.

At the same time, as they grew older, their age intersected with other characteristics that meant they faced complex and unique forms of marginalisation and discrimination in older age.

The long term consequences of events, choices, and intersecting forms of discrimination and marginalisation accumulate to mean that older age is a particularly complex and diverse stage of life.
